First off, hi! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. My name is Krystal and I’m the founder of Destined To Be Florals. I’m here to help create the flowers of conscious couples’ dreams for their special day! I incorporate flower meaning, crystals and other spiritual aspects into wedding + event florals. 

I didn’t always know that I wanted to work in weddings. My degree is in Kinesiology with an emphasis on exercise and fitness. I’ve worked in the fitness industry for over 10 years now! Before I found florals, I felt a lot of frustration surrounding one common question…. “What is your purpose in life?” 

This frustration led my boyfriend (now husband) to take me on a surprise trip to Sedona, AZ. Sedona is known for its energy vortexes and spiritual community. Here, he planned all sorts of activities to help me feel more connected to myself. 

One of those activities being Destiny Art! We met our experience host at her lovely house where she welcomed us with open arms… and an impressive wall of tea. She led us through a meditation where we brought up our emotions that we were feeling in that moment. We then assigned our emotions to colors. From there, we poured all of our emotions (represented by paint) into a cup; pouring the paint that symbolized the feeling we were feeling the most first + at the highest volume. We repeated this process for the other emotions, lessening the amount of paint for each emotion. 

Then, it was time to create our art. We poured our emotions over an acrylic covered canvas and watched as our emotions took over the blank canvas. Once they dried, our host read our paintings. For mine, she kept bringing up flowers which at the time didn’t have a huge resonance with me. We came to the conclusion that I could learn a lot about myself from working with flowers in some capacity. For I, like a flower, bloom in seasons. 

And that was when the seed was planted for Destined To Be Florals.
