I want to help you feel that you can depend on me to create the flowers of your Pinterest dreams. I also understand that weddings are an expense! I want to make event florals accessible to everyone regardless of your event size + budget.
As a former bride, I know what you are going through! Unfortunately for me I had a bad experience with some of my vendors so I want to make sure that NEVER happens to my clients.
Creating a boho tablescape for a wedding is all about embracing natural and eclectic elements while maintaining a sense of free-spirited charm. As a wedding florist, I suggest taking the opportunity to infuse the design with an abundance of flowers and greenery. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you create a stunning boho tablescape:
Color Palette: Choose a soft, earthy color palette with pops of vibrant hues. Think muted pastels, warm neutrals, and touches of bold colors like deep burgundy, terracotta, or mustard. For this wedding, we went with a stunning toffee rose to add that pop of bold!
Tablecloth and Linens: Start with a textured, natural fabric for the tablecloth, such as burlap or linen. Layer it with macramé runners, vintage lace, or colorful patterned textiles for a bohemian touch.
Tableware: Opt for mismatched vintage or boho-inspired plates, glassware, and flatware. Mix and match patterns and colors to create an eclectic and whimsical look. I’m a sucker for stunning, colored glassware.
Centerpieces: As a florist, this is where my expertise shines. Create lush, wildflower arrangements using a variety of blooms. Add in pampas grass, feathers, or dried elements for a touch of boho texture. Arrange these in earthy, ceramic or colored glass vases to tie it all together.
Candles and Lighting: Integrate candles in different shapes and sizes to add a warm, intimate glow to the tablescape. Place them in candle holders with intricate or vintage designs. Consider string lights or fairy lights hanging overhead for a magical ambiance.
Place Cards and Favors: Keep the boho theme consistent with your place cards and wedding favors. Use natural materials like wooden slices, pressed flowers, or tags with calligraphy for the place cards. Offer guests small gifts like crystals, sage bundles, or scented candles.
Boho Accents: Scatter small boho-inspired elements around the table, such as dreamcatchers, feathers, geodes, crystals, and wooden beads. These little touches will add to the overall bohemian vibe. You could even incorporate personal elements into the tablescape. For example, you can use old family photos, heirlooms, or sentimental items as part of the decor.
Remember, the key to a boho tablescape is embracing imperfection and celebrating the beauty of the natural world. Let your creativity shine through as you craft a dreamy and enchanting setting for your wedding day and your guests.
