I want to help you feel that you can depend on me to create the flowers of your Pinterest dreams. I also understand that weddings are an expense! I want to make event florals accessible to everyone regardless of your event size + budget.
As a former bride, I know what you are going through! Unfortunately for me I had a bad experience with some of my vendors so I want to make sure that NEVER happens to my clients.
Did you know that each flower has their own special meaning? As a San Diego wedding + events florist, I love to integrate flower meaning into the floral creations I make. I ask the overall feel my clients would like to have on their event date and then embody those feelings using flowers.
Here are my top 5 flowers you should include on your wedding day + their special meanings.
I’m not just saying Dahlias because they are my favorite flower (which they are). Dahlias symbolize beauty, commitment and kindness. They also symbolize steadfastness due to the fact that they can bloom long after all of the other flowers in the garden have ended their season. Who wouldn’t want a long, unwavering and committed marriage?
Now this one may seem a bit untraditional, but hear me out. Violets have such a sweet meaning to them, I just had to include them on this list! Violets signify loyalty, hope, and faithfulness. By giving someone violets, you’re letting them know that you will always be there for them.
If your wedding is in Spring, you HAVE to include Tulips in your special day. Tulips symbolize unconditional love. Similar to roses, tulips are the perfect flower to give to someone to show them you have a deep love for them.
I’m sure you’ve heard of the rice tradition on wedding days. After the wedding ceremony, wedding guests throw rice on the newlyweds as a sign of good luck for the future. Rice flower is revered for its long lasting flower that symbolizes a long and beautiful life.
Another one of my favorite flowers! Zinnias are so resilient and come in so many different sizes and colors. Zinnias are commonly associated with friendship, endurance, daily remembrance, goodness, and lasting affection. They always say to marry your best friend after all!
